For our next Life Sciences Circle event, we will dive into the core of the life sciences: genetics! We will explore genetic lineages and mechanisms that determine the people that we are today.
We are pleased to host Dr. Pamela Kalas (http://www.zoology.ubc.ca/
to give a talk about the massive field of genetics! This session will be unique as it will be presented in a way which will emulate how a first-year UBC Science course will be taught. If you plan to enter post-secondary school, particularly UBC Science, this would be a fantastic opportunity to preview the interactive teaching environment that UBC Science implements.
As per usual, refreshments will be provided and you will also get the chance to pet some stick insects!
